In a country where security and health challenges are everywhere, Halimé Bouyé Mahamoud stands out for her commitment. A brigadier general by special promotion and chief pharmacist at the Directorate General of State Institutions Security Services (DGSSIE), she has devoted her career to protecting institutions and caring for the wounded.
A career of dedication
She began in 1989 as chief pharmacist at the DGSSIE, a post she still holds with the same passion, ensuring medicines are available and the wounded are cared for. In 2022 she was appointed adviser to the DGSSIE, helping modernise the security and health services of state institutions. Her work was praised in a letter of commendation from the National Assembly (CNT) in April 2024.
In 2024 she was promoted to brigadier general by special promotion — a rare distinction recognising her leadership and her role in managing health and security crises.
Medical expertise for the wounded
She has played a crucial role in managing medical care within the DGSSIE, ensuring essential medicines are available in real time and helping save many lives. She also trains medical teams in good care practices and emergency management.
A field officer who has served in difficult conditions, she inspires young people — especially women — to pursue demanding careers that are essential to the country’s development.
