As Africa’s banking sector undergoes profound change, new figures are emerging to guide the transformation. Among them is Dina Mahamat Nour, a Chadian banker whose expertise in risk management makes her a leading figure in finance.
A remarkable academic background
Born on 18 December 1990 in N’Djamena, she earned a science baccalaureate at the Lycée Sacré-Cœur in N’Djamena, then studied at the University of Orléans, where she obtained a master’s degree in e-business with honours. Her training in business administration and management (MAGE) and in mathematics and computing applied to science (MIAS) reflects her versatility.
An exemplary banking career
She started as a credit analyst at Ecobank Chad before becoming deputy head of risk, a post she held for seven years. In 2018 she was appointed head of risk (Country Risk Manager), overseeing the risks of the bank’s operations in Chad. She has also headed the multinational and regional corporates department — a dual expertise that makes her a well-rounded professional.
A committed woman
Married and a mother of four, she embodies the balance between professional and personal life. Her vision: to strengthen the financial stability of banks while promoting financial inclusion for the most vulnerable, convinced that risk management is a pillar of sustainable growth for African economies.
