Chad’s Professional Association of Credit Institutions (APEC) renewed its executive board at its ordinary general meeting held in N’Djamena on 6 December.
The election marks a strategic turning point for the organisation, which is committed to consolidating and developing Chad’s banking and financial sector. Following the vote:
- President: Mr Hicham Ibni Oumar, managing director of Banque de l’Habitat du Tchad;
- First vice-president: Mr Adam Moussa Adoum, deputy managing director of Attijari Bank Chad;
- Financial controller: Mr Habib Ibn Arabi, deputy managing director of Ecobank Chad.
The new leadership takes office as the banking sector in Chad, and across CEMAC, undergoes profound change, facing challenges around financial inclusion, digitalisation and regional regulation. The new board will work to strengthen cooperation between credit institutions, promote financial stability and foster an environment conducive to the growth of banking services.
With this new team, APEC reaffirms its commitment to supporting the modernisation of Chad’s banking sector and contributing actively to national and sub-regional economic momentum.
