In a rapidly changing Chad, a few figures stand out as models of commitment and innovation. Among them, Ndolenodji Alice Naïmbaye is distinguished by her bold vision, her leadership and her unwavering commitment to the country’s social and economic development. From entrepreneurship to defending women’s rights, she is a model of resilience and ambition for future generations.
A journey shaped by determination
Born and raised in Chad, Alice faced a harsh reality from childhood: a lack of opportunity, inequality, and a society in which women are often relegated to secondary roles. Education became her lever. A brilliant student, she earned degrees in management and sustainable development, and chose to focus on a model of local development driven by social innovation.
Entrepreneurship for sustainable development
By founding several social-impact companies, she seeks to combine economic growth and sustainability in a country that must diversify its economy and reduce its reliance on natural resources. Her flagship company, specialising in sustainable agriculture and renewable energy, has created jobs for hundreds of young Chadians. She trains rural women entrepreneurs and helps them access green technologies.
A women’s rights activist
She has become a powerful voice for women’s empowerment, raising awareness of violence against women, reproductive health and girls’ education, and supporting education and mentoring programmes for young women.
Innovation as a driver of change
Convinced that the energy transition is essential, she has launched projects combining agriculture and solar power, giving farmers access to clean energy to boost production and processing — a virtuous circle where sustainability and innovation meet.
